Frequently Asked Questions
Medically speaking, the Srinagar-Leh highway (NH1) is considered much safer for altitude acclimatization. The ascent is gradual, unlike the Manali route which gains altitude very rapidly. The Zoji La pass can be challenging, but our expert drivers handle it with ease.
The Srinagar-Leh highway usually opens earlier than the Manali route. The best time to complete this road trip is from late May to October, when the snow is cleared from Zoji La pass and the weather is relatively pleasant.
In Kashmir (Srinagar) and Ladakh, ONLY POSTPAID connections (mainly Jio, Airtel, and BSNL) work. Prepaid connections from outside J&K/Ladakh will not function. In remote areas like Pangong, network connectivity will be extremely poor or zero.
No. Inner Line Permits (ILP) are required to visit restricted areas like Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake in Ladakh. We proactively process and acquire these permits for you prior to your arrival. All you need to do is provide your valid ID proofs during the booking process.
